JOB PURPOSE
To ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, effective management of funds, compliance with Zambian financial regulations, and support in decision-making by providing reliable financial information.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian tax laws, ZRA requirements, and other statutory obligations (e.g. NAPSA, PAYE).
- Process payments, manage petty cash, and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Maintain proper records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions.
- Support in budget preparation and monitoring expenditures.
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure accuracy of transactions.
- Manage payroll processing and ensure timely payment of staff salaries.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and internal financial policies.
QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification such as ZICA and ACCA is an added advantage.
- A minimum of 2–3 years of work experience is required, and prior experience in a healthcare setting will be an added advantage.
- Must to a full registered member of ZICA.
- Qualifications must be verified and validated by ZAQA.
- Knowledge of Zambian tax laws and statutory requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Sage, Pastel, QuickBooks).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High level of integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
