 Financial Management & Reporting

ï‚· Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in accounting software.

ï‚· Prepare monthly management accounts, financial statements, and cash flow reports.

ï‚· Maintain accurate ledgers for receivables, payables, and payroll accounts.

ï‚· Reconcile bank statements and petty cash balances.

ï‚· Ensure project-wise cost tracking and profitability analysis.

2. Project Accounting

ï‚· Monitor project expenditures, budgets, and cost variances.

ï‚· Verify supplier invoices and subcontractor payments against approved purchase orders and contracts.

ï‚· Prepare payment certificates and maintain records of project advances and retentions.

ï‚· Support site teams in cost forecasting and budget compliance.

3. Compliance & Control

ï‚· Ensure compliance with ZRA, NAPSA, NHIMA, Workers Compensation, and NCC statutory requirements.

ï‚· Support external and internal audits by providing necessary documentation. ï‚· Maintain a proper filing system for vouchers, receipts, and payment records.

ï‚· Implement and monitor internal financial controls and approval workflows.

4. Payroll & Staff Advances

ï‚· Process monthly payroll, ensuring correct deductions and timely payments.

ï‚· Maintain staff advance and loan registers, ensuring proper recovery and reconciliation.

ï‚· Coordinate with HR on statutory remittances and staff benefits.

5. Procurement & Payments

ï‚· Support the procurement team with supplier vetting and verification of LPOs.

ï‚· Ensure timely preparation and authorization of supplier payments.

ï‚· Maintain updated supplier statements and track outstanding balances.

Qualifications & Experience

 Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

 Full or part qualification in ZICA, ACCA, or CIMA is an added advantage.  Minimum 3–5 years’ experience in accounting, preferably in the construction or engineering

industry.

ï‚· Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, QuickBooks, or Pastel) and Microsoft Excel.

ï‚· Strong understanding of cost control, project accounting, and financial reporting.
