Background
The Council of Law Reporting is a statutory body established under the Council of Law Reporting Act, Chapter 46 of the Laws of Zambia, mandated to prepare, publish and disseminate law reports and other legal publications, thereby promoting access to legal information and supporting the development of jurisprudence in Zambia. In pursuit of its strategic objectives and commitment to institutional excellence, the Council of Law Reporting invites applications from suitably qualified, experienced and innovative candidates for the following positions:
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to report to the Deputy Council Secretary and will be responsible for the following:
- Undertake effectively human resource management functions in order to promote efficient and effective operations of the Institution;
- Undertake timely the provision of administrative services in order to facilitate efficient and effective operations;
- Supervise effectively maintenance of buildings and surroundings in order to enhance a conducive working environment;
- Undertake timely provision of office space and accommodation to officers in order to facilitate service delivery;
- Supervise regularly availability and maintenance of office equipment in order to enhance effective and efficient operations of the Institution;
- Undertake effectively the provision of registry services in order to enhance access to information;
- Supervise effectively the development of workplans and the implementation of performance management system in order to monitor, evaluate and enhance performance; and
- Supervise effectively human and other resources to facilitate attainment of set objectives.
Qualifications
- Full Form V/Grade 12 School Certificate
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or its equivalent
- Member of the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management
Experience
- Minimum of 1 year relevant work experience
