JOB DETAILS:
To perform skilled electrical maintenance and repair work while ensuring adherence to safety standards and quality workmanship across all electrical installations and equipment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Supervision:
• Train, guide and motivate junior technicians to maintain work quality standards
• Conduct on-the-job training for electrical maintenance teams
Maintenance Operations:
• Diagnose faults in electrical systems and determine required spare parts
• Repair electrical machinery in compliance with Safe Working Procedures
• Interpret technical data and schematics during repair processes
Quality Assurance:
• Verify all completed work meets quality specifications
• Sign off completed work orders and submit to supervisor
• Maintain proper tool condition and storage after tasks
Safety Compliance:
• Implement all electrical safety protocols
• Ensure use of proper PPE and safe working tools
• Report potential electrical hazards immediately
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Education & Certification:
✓ Grade 12 Certificate (ZAQA verified)
✓ Craft Certificate in Electrical (ZAQA verified)
✓ Current EIZ/ERB membership
✓ Valid First Aid Certificate
Experience:
• Minimum 2 years electrical maintenance experience
• Proven experience in industrial electrical systems
• Experience interpreting electrical diagrams
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work under pressure in production environment
• Attention to detail in fault diagnosis
• Basic computer skills for work order systems

Level of Education: bachelor degree
