National Breweries PLC is currently seeking qualified and experienced professionals for the role of Auto Electrician. This opportunity for auto electrician jobs in Ndola offers a permanent, full-time position based in Ndola, Copperbelt, Zambia. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the electrical systems of the company’s fleet and equipment to ensure optimal functionality, safety, and reliability.

Position Overview

As an Auto Electrician at National Breweries PLC, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical faults, performing scheduled maintenance, and responding swiftly to vehicle breakdowns. Your work will directly contribute to minimizing downtime and maintaining high operational standards within the company’s workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities for Auto Electrician Jobs in Ndola

Electrical Maintenance & Repairs: Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on vehicles and equipment; perform planned maintenance and major overhauls adhering to company standards; respond promptly to breakdowns to reduce downtime.

Workshop Operations: Adhere to workshop procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance schedules; maintain detailed records of repairs, work orders, and requisitions; provide mentorship and on-the-job training to trainees and apprentices.

Safety, Health & Environment (SHE): Comply with SHE policies and ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards; promote safe work practices including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE); participate in incident investigations and risk assessments; keep the workshop clean, safe, and well-organized.

Performance & Quality: Deliver high-quality workmanship on all repairs; complete tasks efficiently and cost-effectively; support initiatives aimed at reducing fleet downtime and improving vehicle availability.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience

Craft Certificate in Auto Electrical Engineering

At least five (5) O’ Levels including English, Mathematics, and Science

Valid membership with the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ)

Valid Class C Driver’s License

Minimum of two (2) years relevant work experience in auto electrical maintenance and repair

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical issues on vehicles and equipment
  • Perform planned maintenance and major overhauls adhering to company standards
  • Respond promptly to breakdowns to reduce downtime
  • Adhere to workshop procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and maintenance schedules
