About the Automotive Mechanic Role in Ndola

This full-time, permanent position is based in Ndola, Copperbelt Province. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and safety of our delivery vehicles and forklifts, supporting both local and long-distance transport activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vehicle Maintenance & Repairs: Service, repair, and maintain delivery vehicles and forklifts to guarantee roadworthiness.
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and monitor their condition to prevent unexpected breakdowns.
  • Respond swiftly to vehicle breakdowns and emergencies, conducting thorough failure analyses on faulty components.
  • Maintenance Planning: Execute scheduled maintenance plans under the guidance of the Fleet Supervisor and apply modifications to enhance vehicle performance and reliability.
  • Health, Safety & Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workshop environment while strictly adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records, prepare detailed reports on vehicle repairs and transport stock, and ensure proper documentation management.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Craft Certificate or Diploma in Automotive Mechanics.
  • Valid Class C Driver’s License.
  • Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
