Eride Zambia is young company starting electric mobility projects in Zambia. We are assembling and developing solar batteries and electric vehicles in Lusaka. We currently need support by a young motivated engineer (f/m) on a part time base (around 2-3 days per week or subject to availability/ interest) with the intent to do fulltime from around April. This can be a long-term engagement.
Therefore we are looking for:
- Electric engineers (female applications welcome) pursuing a degree or having a degree
- UNZA electric department students with an undergraduate degree
- Manual skills like soldering
- Good organizational skills and precise work + self starter attitude
- Interest in electronics/ engineering/ solar
- Experience with programming of microcontrollers (ESP32) or other programming experience is an add-on
Location: Near Lewanika Mall/ Woodlands
Own laptop is preferred
Duties will include but not be limited to:
- Assembly and soldering of battery packs
- Programming of battery management systems and microcontrollers
- 3D printing of parts and CAD modelling
- Administrative task depending on skills
- Regular reporting on task, progress and issues
- Part of a team in Zambia and weekly exchange with team in Zürich, Switzerland.
