JOB OBJECTIVE
Responsible for analyzing and interpreting data using statistical methods to provide insights that help improve organizational processes, decision-making, overall performance and well-being of employees. This role combines analytical expertise, processes and statistics.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Address discrepancies between expected and actual data to maintain organizational integrity.
- Analyzing data and interpreting the results of employees using statistical methods to inform OHS policies and interventions.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and policies by monitoring changes in data or practices.
- Develop training materials for employees on data analysis and decision-making and participate in OHS awareness programmes
- Work with Heads of Departments and Regional Managers to update records and ensure all processes are aligned with organizational goals
- Developing research designs for OHS studies and participate in data collection and analysis
- Collaborate with IT to maintain the integrity of OHS data
- Participate in conduction of epidemiological
- investigations to identify the causes and contributing factors of occupational injuries and diseases
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Grade 12 school certificate
- Bachelor’s degree in Biostatistics, Statistics or related field.
- Computer literate with knowledge of statistical- analytical software like Epe-Info, STATA, SPSS
- Minimum Relevant Pre-Jab Experience: 4 years working experience in the similar field
- Registered Member of the Health Professions Council of Zambia (HPCZ)
- Valid Practicing License
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis knowledge of database management and data visualization tools
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from others
- Collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn from others
- Ability to communicate complex data insights clearly to non-expert stakeholders
- Qualification in OHS will be an added advantage
