SuperSportBet Zambia is seeking a Brand Marketing Coordinator to drive brand-building efforts in Zambia. As part of KingMakers Group, SuperSportBet is rapidly expanding, leveraging the strength of SuperSport, Africa’s leading sports media brand, and the wider MultiChoice Group.
The mission is to create Africa’s premier betting entertainment destination, delivering exceptional customer experiences while deeply embedding the brand within local communities.
Role Overview
This role is crucial in executing activity that enhances brand presence in Zambia while aligning local activity to global positioning. Key deliverables include executing brand marketing campaigns, ensuring strong market visibility, and delivering high-impact, locally relevant activations.
The Brand Marketing Coordinator will work closely with SuperSportBet Global marketing teams to align with strategic objectives while ensuring effective local execution through traditional and bespoke channels.
Requirements
- 3–5 years’ experience in brand marketing, advertising, or media buying.
- Experience within the sports betting, gaming, sports, or consumer entertainment sectors is required.
- Deep understanding of the Zambian media landscape, consumer trends, and brand-building strategies.
- Experience managing ATL campaigns, including radio, TV, and outdoor advertising.
- Proven track record in partnerships, sponsorships, and working with brand ambassadors.
- Ability to balance creative thinking with data-driven decision-making.
- Strong timeline management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- High levels of action orientation, eye for detail and desire to achieve quality outputs.
- Entrepreneurial attitude: take ownership, spend effectively, and make decisions based on priority.
Role and Responsibilities
Above-the-Line Advertising
- Work with local media agencies to execute above-the-line marketing plans across out-of-home, radio, TV and other ATL channels.
- Work closely with Global marketing to ensure campaign messages are optimized for brand visibility and maximum reach.
- Identify local brand ambassadors and partnerships to enhance brand visibility.
- Work with MultiChoice Group partners to execute added-value media campaigns.
- Contribute to the social media content calendar, taking into account local trends, calendar events and upcoming sports events.
- Boost organic social media activity to drive engagement with the SuperSportBet brand in Zambia.
- Deliver monthly post-campaign data and insights, highlighting performance versus plan.
Activations and Engagements
- Explore offline activations, community events, and partnerships to deepen brand engagement.
- Identify innovative local marketing opportunities beyond standard media channels.
- Execute cross-platform campaigns with the MultiChoice Group customer base as briefed.
- Work with agency partners to execute ad hoc activations, including launch and media events.
- Deliver monthly post-campaign data and insights, highlighting performance versus plan.
Localization and Market Adaptation
- Ensure all marketing materials align with global brand guidelines while being culturally relevant, including local languages, imagery, and trends.
- Adapt global campaigns to fit the Zambian market and resonate with local audiences.
- Manage all approvals with the Global marketing team.
Third-Party and Stakeholder Management
- Build relationships with local agencies, influencers, and sponsorship partners.
- Work closely with MultiChoice, leveraging strategic synergies for brand positioning.
- Manage relationships with telcos and key industry players, ensuring presence on all relevant channels.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Group marketing teams to deliver key marketing campaigns, providing ongoing feedback and ideas to optimize activity for the Zambian market.
- Collaborate with the Country Manager and other local teams to integrate marketing efforts with business objectives.
