RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the job will include but are not restricted to:
• Management and retention of existing retail Merchants
• Maintain merchants’ relationships to ensure continuous transactional growth.
• Work with existing and new merchants in building strategic growth transactional volume growth plans.
• Leverage prospect and contract new merchants and partners by presenting the appropriate solutions that speaks to the specific merchant business propositions.
• Train the merchant staff on the product so as to create comfort and improved utilization of the platform.
• Work closely with the teams in defining and reporting share market, competitor analysis and use-case studies.
• Liaise with the Technical Operations team and Finance teams to facilitate smooth operations and ensure prompt and accurate delivery of service to key accounts being managed.
• Daily tracking of the Merchant performance and act on results of the tracking exercise to drive growth.
• Provide necessary business support as required in ensuring adequate tracking of deliverables to the merchants.
• Represent the company in various events, socializing events and other activities and facilitate the promotion and branding of the company, its products/ services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
The following knowledge, skills, and abilities are key for this role:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administrations, Marketing or related field.
• Must Have at least 5 years’ experience in Retail operations, customer engagement and direct sales. Experience in Fintech platforms is an added advantage.
• Must have Sales experience in Retail acquisition, growth and retention.
• Must poses a good network of contacts in the retail sector
• Must hold a valid driving license with 2 years plus driving experience.
• Must be proactive, a self-starter and passionate about growth.
• Proven record of accomplishment in sales specifically in the retail sector. Particular emphasis will be on merchant network management and acquisition.
• Assertive in nature and have the ability to lead, coach and motivate teams.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• An understanding of regulatory framework of the digital payment systems in Zambia is an added advantage.
