POSITION: BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT & MARKETING ASSOCIATE (COMMISSION BASED)
Reports To: Managing Director
Employment Type: Commission-Based / Independent Associate
Location: Flexible / Field-Based Across Zambia
JOB PURPOSE
The Business Development & Marketing Associate will play a key role in identifying business opportunities, engaging clients and suppliers, securing contracts, supporting tender opportunities, and growing the company’s market presence across Zambia.
This role is ideal for ambitious individuals who are highly connected, entrepreneurial, persuasive, and motivated by performance-based earnings.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Business Development
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Generate leads and secure clients for company products and services.
- Promote company services to NGOs, mines, hospitals, schools, councils, contractors, government institutions, and private companies.
- Conduct market outreach and relationship-building activities.
Supplier & Contractor Engagement
- Identify and engage reliable suppliers, contractors, and strategic partners.
- Facilitate supplier partnerships and Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs).
- Support sourcing and procurement coordination activities.
- Build and maintain a reliable network of vendors and service providers.
Tender & Procurement Support
- Identify tender opportunities from public and private institutions.
- Assist in tender tracking, quotation requests, and procurement opportunities.
- Support business registration and compliance processes where necessary.
Marketing & Brand Visibility
- Promote the company through social media, WhatsApp, email marketing, and direct engagement.
- Assist in distributing company profiles, brochures, and marketing materials.
- Represent the company professionally during meetings and networking engagements.
Reporting
- Submit regular updates on leads, prospects, meetings, and opportunities identified.
- Maintain proper records of business engagements and follow-ups.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma, Degree, or relevant experience in Marketing, Business Administration, Sales, Procurement, Public Relations, Public Health, or related fields is an added advantage.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to network and build relationships.
Self-driven and able to work independently.
Knowledge of procurement and tender systems is an added advantage.
Existing networks in NGOs, mining, healthcare, education, construction, or government sectors will be highly advantageous.
