JOB DETAILS:
Our client, Banani International School, seeks to recruit a highly experienced and qualified Campus Maintenance Manager to oversee the institution’s operations and maintenance. The successful candidate will ensure the smooth running of all campus activities, including facility management, security, and compliance with institutional policies.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversees the overall physical safety and security of personnel and property
• Supervises, plans, budgets, and prioritizes maintenance and development of campus facilities.
• Coordinates workflow and activities across departments, ensuring proper service levels.
• Manages and evaluates the performance of campus staff, including maintenance, grounds, janitorial, transport, and security teams.
• Develops and implements procedures for security, emergencies, and routine maintenance.
• Schedules and deploys security personnel to ensure 24/7 campus security.
• Monitors staff attendance, effort, and quality of work.
• Prepares and submits personnel timesheets and other required reports.
• Coordinates vehicle repairs, servicing, and compliance with road tax, insurance, and fitness requirements.
• Recommends policies and improvements to enhance campus operations.
• Trains and orients staff on daily routines and specific procedures.

Minimum Qualifications and Skills
• Diploma or higher in Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an academic or training institution.
• Membership with the Engineering Council of Zambia or a related regulatory body.
• Strong knowledge of electrical, and mechanical tools, motor vehicles, and computer systems.
• Excellent leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with line managers and supervisors.
• Understanding of the Banani Vision and its future developments is an added advantage.
