Job Purpose

To perform all carpentry-related maintenance works, including fabrication, installation, repair, and finishing of wooden structures, fittings, and fixtures across client sites, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, fittings, doors, frames, cupboards, ceilings, and related fixtures.
  • Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance tasks as assigned by the Site Maintenance Coordinator.
  • Perform measurements, cutting, shaping, and assembling of materials according to specifications.
  • Inspect and diagnose faults in wooden structures and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
  • Ensure all carpentry works meet company quality standards and client expectations.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good working condition.
  • Complete job cards, maintenance reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
  • Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to support overall site operations.
  • Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
  • Perform any other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 Certificate.
  • Certificate or Trade Test in Carpentry or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in carpentry or building maintenance.
  • Experience working in residential, commercial, or industrial maintenance environments is an added advantage.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong carpentry and joinery skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
  • Good problem‑solving and fault‑diagnosis abilities.
  • Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.
  • High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.
