Job Purpose
To perform all carpentry-related maintenance works, including fabrication, installation, repair, and finishing of wooden structures, fittings, and fixtures across client sites, ensuring high-quality workmanship and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Fabricate, install, repair, and maintain wooden structures, fittings, doors, frames, cupboards, ceilings, and related fixtures.
- Conduct preventive and reactive maintenance tasks as assigned by the Site Maintenance Coordinator.
- Perform measurements, cutting, shaping, and assembling of materials according to specifications.
- Inspect and diagnose faults in wooden structures and recommend appropriate repair solutions.
- Ensure all carpentry works meet company quality standards and client expectations.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good working condition.
- Complete job cards, maintenance reports, and documentation accurately and on time.
- Work collaboratively with other maintenance team members to support overall site operations.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Perform any other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
- Grade 12 Certificate.
- Certificate or Trade Test in Carpentry or related field.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in carpentry or building maintenance.
- Experience working in residential, commercial, or industrial maintenance environments is an added advantage.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Strong carpentry and joinery skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and measurements.
- Good problem‑solving and fault‑diagnosis abilities.
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of tools and equipment.
- High attention to detail and quality workmanship.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
