JOB DETAILS:

Role Overview:
The Compactor Operator operates compaction equipment to stabilize ground surfaces in underground mining areas, ensuring safe working conditions and infrastructure stability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate compaction equipment to prepare and stabilize underground surfaces for mining activities.
- Ensure proper compaction of backfill materials to support mine stability.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation checks on compaction equipment to ensure functionality.
- Adhere to safety protocols, particularly in confined underground spaces.
- Report any equipment issues or ground instability concerns to supervisors.
- Work closely with other operators to support underground operations.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in operating compaction equipment in underground environments.
- Understanding of ground stability and backfill processes.
- Safety awareness in underground mining operations.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces.
- Teamwork and coordination skills.
