As part of our mission to ensure compliance and uphold standards in the engineering industry, we are inviting applications from suitably qualified and committed individuals to fill the position of Compliance Inspector based in Lusaka.
Overall Purpose of the Job
The Compliance Inspector will be responsible for monitoring and ensuring adherence to the provisions of the EIZ Act No. 17 of 2010, the Institution’s Code of Ethics, and any other prescribed regulations or codes of practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with the EIZ Act No. 17 of 2010.
- Monitor and promote adherence to the EIZ Code of Ethics for Engineering professionals.
- Facilitate investigations and monitor issues related to national emergencies or matters of public concern as directed by Council.
- Prepare and submit reports related to compliance activities.
- Assist in generating, reconciling, and delivering institutional invoices.
- Distribute practicing certificates and membership cards.
- Develop annual activity plans and budgets for Inspectorate Activities.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Key Requirements
- Full Grade 12 School Certificate with at least 5 credits.
- BEng/BSc/Diploma/Advanced Certificate/Craft Certificate in any Engineering discipline.
- Must be a fully paid-up EIZ member with a valid 2024 practicing certificate.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant industrial experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) and data management tools.
- Must have a clean and valid driver’s license.
