JOB DETAILS:

Background information about the job or company:

Within the frame works of the Plant objectives and annual action plans, the Crane Operator's mission is to operate mechanical and lattice boom cranes to lift and move machines, materials, or products and other heavy equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Inspects worksites and carries out work safely to avoid accidents.
• Cleans crane mechanisms and maintains them.
• Determines load weights and prevents equipment overload.
• Inspects crane equipment for defects and errors.
• Operates various types of cranes and uses hand and arm signals.
• Performs any other tasks assigned by Supervisor.

Qualifications:

• Grade 12 certificate with 5 O levels
• Minimum Craft Certificate in rigging
• At least 3 years work experience in a similar role

Experience needed:

At least 3 years work experience in a similar role.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 36

Level of Education: high school
