Huachen International Supply Chain Limited seeks to employ a Customs Clearance Manager in the Bonded Warehouse Clearance Department to join our growing team.

JOB PURPOSE

Oversee all customs clearance activities, provide support and guidance to the customs clearance team.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Able to connect customer documents and complete communication with customers
• Maintain relationships between the official and external agencies: commodity inspection, maritime, ports and other government regulatory departments.
• Team management and training: lead and manage the customs clearance operation team, responsible for the distribution, guidance and training of daily work
• Process and compliance control: establish, optimize and supervise the implementation of the company's customs clearance operation process and compliance system to ensure zero major operational risks.
• Closely monitor the latest policy developments of customs, tax and relevant government departments, and timely interpret and formulate internal response strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelors’ Degree Clearing & Forwarding, International Trade or related field.
• At least eight (8) years working experience in customs/clearance field, including 3 years in team management experience.
• Relevant qualification certificates such as customs declarers are an added advantage.
• Strong awareness and rigor of risk prevention and control.
• Excellent problem solving ability, anti-pressure ability and multi-task ability.
• Familiar with all kinds of office software and customs clearance operating systems.

• Must reside in Ndola, Kitwe or the surrounding area.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Problem solving and pressure resistance.
• Leadership and team building.
• Proficient in Zambian customs clearance regulations.
