About One Acre Fund

Founded in 2006, One Acre Fund equips 5.5 million smallholder farmers to make their farms more productive. Across nine countries that together are home to two-thirds of Africa's farmers, we provide high-quality farm supplies, tree seedlings, accessible credit, modern agronomic training, and a wide range of other agricultural services. On average, this model enables any farmer to increase their income and assets on supported land by more than 35 percent, while permanently improving their resilience. This is all made possible by our team of 9,000+ full-time staff, drawn from diverse backgrounds and professions.

  • Ensure all policies and procedures are practically integrated into daily routines, clearly communicated, and consistently applied across all departments.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital filing systems for all compliance, safety, and personnel records.
  • Monitor local security developments, political events, and public health situations (e.g., protests, elections, regional conflicts, or health alerts) to proactively provide intelligence updates and advise on necessary operational adjustments.

  • Coordinate the logistics, scheduling, and tracking for staff well-being, duty of care, and basic safety training programs.
  • Facilitate thorough administrative inductions for new staff, consultants, and visitors, ensuring they receive, understand, and acknowledge all safety protocols.
  • Maintain accurate tracking systems to ensure 100% staff compliance with organizational training requirements.

Incident Management & Support

  • Serve as the first-line point of contact for staff reporting workplace incidents, accidents, or health events.
  • Maintain up-to-date emergency contact trees, phone trees, and vendor lists to ensure rapid execution of crisis management plans when needed.
  • Champion a culture of care, proactively encouraging staff to utilize available resources and reporting systems.
  • Serve as the primary operational focal point and key contact for external health and security service providers.

Cross-Functional Execution & Office Management

  • Oversee day-to-day office management and facility administration, ensuring workspaces consistently meet foundational health, safety, and duty of care standards.
  • Partner closely with HR, Operations, and Supply Chain to embed people-centric systems into broader operational planning.
  • Manage administrative relationships with vendors related to office facilities, basic guarding, and staff health services.
  • Proactively establish, maintain, and leverage positive working relationships with local authorities, emergency services, police, and traffic departments to ensure rapid support during incidents.
