The World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF) is an International Non-Governmental Organization that was born from a drive to conserve threatened wildlife and their habitats in the world. Our mission is to stop the degradation of the planet’s natural environment and to build a future in which humans live in harmony with nature. In August 2023 the World Wide Fund for Nature in Zambia (WWF Zambia) in collaboration with People in Need (PIN) secured funding from the Jersey Overseas Aid (JOA) and Czech Development Agency (CZDA) to implement a project aimed at contributing towards the conservation of the local ecosystem, restoration of biodiversity and alleviation of poverty in the Barotse Floodplain of Western Zambia.
The project duration period is three years. The project interventions are centered on achieving the following specific objective; to create alternative and climate-resilient livelihood opportunities for smallholder farmers in two districts ( Mongu and Limulunga) of Barotse Floodplain in Western Zambia through strengthened management of the local ecosystem, development of alternative value chains and enhanced access to clean energy. WWF Zambia Through this project as part of its interventions, are looking to drill Four (04) boreholes to supply water to level one livestock service centers that will also house tree nurseries. Therefore, interested parties should submit proposals for Borehole Confirmatory sitting, Drilling, Development, Solar pump installation, construction of water troughs for livestock, and associated civil construction work in the:
Scope of Works :
The driller will drill 4 boreholes with drinkable water and construction of boreholes to a depth of 50 meters below ground level. The driller shall be responsible for drilling, installation of casings, gravel packing, grouting, well development, pumping test and Water quality tests noting that the specifications below will apply on each site
