Eliado Meat Supplies Limited invites applications from suitably qualified, reliable, and disciplined individuals to fill the position of Driver.

The successful candidate will report directly to Management and will support the company’s transport, logistics, and daily operational activities, ensuring compliance with company policies as well as Zambian labour and road traffic laws.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Drive company vehicles in a safe, lawful, and responsible manner
  • Transport meat products, supplies, equipment, and documentation as assigned
  • Ensure timely deliveries and collections in line with operational requirements
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections (oil, water, tyres, lights, brakes, and general condition)
  • Keep assigned vehicles clean, roadworthy, and properly maintained
  • Promptly report any mechanical faults, damage, or safety concerns
  • Assist with loading, unloading, stock-taking, and basic operational duties when required
  • Maintain professional conduct, honesty, and reliability at all times
  • Comply with all company procedures, hygiene standards, and lawful instructions

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet all of the following:

  • Valid Zambian Driver’s Licence (appropriate class)
  • No history of serious traffic accidents or reckless driving
  • Police Clearance Certificate (mandatory)
  • Traceable references from previous employers (mandatory)
  • Physically fit and able to assist with operational duties
  • Of sober mind and good moral character
  • Honest, punctual, reliable, and trustworthy
  • Experience in a butchery, food retail, FMCG, or similar environment will be an added advantage
