Job Purpose
To deliver high-quality early childhood education in line with the Zambia Education Curriculum Framework, fostering holistic development (cognitive, social, emotional, physical, and moral growth) of learners in a safe and stimulating environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the national curriculum.
- Promote play-based, learner-centered, and activity-based teaching methodologies.
- Create a nurturing, inclusive, and child-friendly classroom environment.
- Assess and monitor learner progress using continuous assessment methods.
- Maintain accurate learner records and provide feedback to parents/guardians.
- Integrate literacy, numeracy, social skills, and life skills into daily activities.
- Ensure classroom safety, hygiene, and proper child supervision at all times.
- Participate in school meetings, professional development, and co-curricular activities.
- Uphold professional ethics and standards as guided by the Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ).
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum Certificate in Early Childhood Education or relevant field.
- Valid Teaching Council of Zambia (TCZ) Certificate.
- Strong understanding of the new competency-based curriculum.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
- Passion for working with young learners.
