JOB DETAILS:
Job Summary:
Tug Argan Farms Ltd is seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure smooth farm operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Perform routine maintenance of electrical systems, including irrigation pumps, motors, and generators.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and electrical codes.
• Diagnose electrical faults and recommend effective solutions.
• Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs and maintenance schedules.
• Collaborate with farm management to ensure efficient power distribution.
• Respond promptly to electrical emergencies to minimize downtime.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate (with credits in Mathematics and Science preferred).
• Craft Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of work experience in electrical maintenance, preferably in an agricultural or industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring regulations, and safety protocols.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Proficiency in using electrical tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Must be physically fit and able to work in a farm environment.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Must be self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision.
Additional Requirements:
• Valid Electrical Wireman’s License (will be an added advantage).
• Familiarity with solar power systems and backup generators is a plus.
• Must be willing to live on or near the farm if required.
