Role Overview
The Electronic Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of solar power components. This role requires meticulous attention to detail and a strong technical background in inverter and battery systems, with a focus on lithium battery BMS technology.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair solar inverters, including hybrid, off-grid, grid-tied, and UPS systems. Address issues such as no display, no output, error codes, fan failures, blown MOSFETs/IGBTs, control board faults, and communication problems (Wi-Fi, RS485, CAN).
- Test, service, and maintain lithium batteries by diagnosing BMS faults, balancing cell voltages, resolving CAN/RS485 communication errors, conducting state-of-health tests, and replacing defective BMS boards.
- Perform component-level repairs on inverter PCBs, including soldering and desoldering, capacitor replacements, diode and transistor testing, and troubleshooting power supply sections.
- Utilize diagnostic tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, battery load testers, thermal cameras, and insulation testers to ensure accurate fault detection and repair.
- Interpret inverter service manuals, BMS datasheets, and circuit diagrams to support effective troubleshooting and repairs.
- Prepare comprehensive repair reports and warranty assessments to document service activities.
Qualifications and Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Electronic Technician or Electronic Engineering.
- Between 2 and 5 years of practical experience repairing inverters, batteries, and Battery Management Systems.
- Proficient soldering skills and strong PCB troubleshooting capabilities.
- Experience working with lithium battery BMS technology is highly advantageous.
