JOB DETAILS:
Job Purpose:
• Design and model mining methods using Surpac and AutoCAD software
• Implement mining methods using computer-aided mine planning applications
• Investigate underground production problems, mining methods and equipment
• Supervise and control computer hardware and software
• Liaise with mining department sections to ensure accurate data collection
• Prepare management, statutory and technical reports
• Drive HSE standards/policy compliance in the Department
Minimum Requirements:
• Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent
• Degree/Diploma in Mining Engineering
• Current EIZ membership and ERB registration
• 2 years practical underground experience
• 3+ years as Planning Engineer
• Proficiency in Surpac, MineSched and AutoCAD
• Knowledge of Zambian Mining Regulations
• All qualifications verified by Zambia Qualifications Authority
