We are seeking a qualified and motivated Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) Officer to support the implementation of ESG initiatives across our operations in Zambia.
Key Responsibilities
Qualifications & Experience
· Bachelor's degree or higher in one of the following or a related discipline:
- Environmental Engineering
- Safety Engineering
- Civil Engineering
- Environmental Science
- Sustainable Development
- Sociology (particularly for community relations)
- Engineering Management
· Minimum of 3–5 years' relevant professional experience in ESG, EHS, sustainability, compliance, or related fields.
· Previous experience working on road and bridge construction projects is highly preferred.
· Strong knowledge of Zambian environmental, health and safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
· Excellent report writing, documentation, and policy development skills.
· Demonstrated ability to establish and improve management systems and operational procedures.
· Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder engagement skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with ESG reporting frameworks will be an added advantage.

- Organize, compile, and coordinate the preparation of the Company's annual ESG Sustainable Development Report.
- Coordinate with departments including Production, Operations, Procurement, and Human Resources to ensure ESG principles and requirements are effectively integrated into daily business operations.
- Ensure compliance with Zambian environmental, occupational health, and safety (EHS) legislation and company policies.
- Plan and conduct regular Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) inspections, audits, and employee training programs.
- Develop, implement, and strengthen anti-corruption risk prevention and control mechanisms, and promote compliance with local laws, regulations, and corporate governance policies through awareness and training initiatives.
- Design and implement training and capacity-building programs for local employees based on the regional organizational structure, job responsibilities, competency standards, and business requirements.
- Assist in developing and improving ESG policies, management systems, and internal procedures.
- Prepare technical reports, compliance documentation, and management reports related to ESG performance.
