JOB DETAILS:
Excavator Operator
Job Summary:
Operate excavators safely and efficiently for excavation, loading, earthmoving, and material-handling activities in accordance with mine operating procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate excavators to meet daily production requirements.
- Complete pre-start inspections and identify mechanical defects.
- Perform excavation, loading, trenching, and stockpiling activities.
- Work safely around personnel, vehicles, and other heavy equipment.
- Monitor machine performance and report faults promptly.
- Maintain accurate equipment operating records.
Requirements:
Relevant operator certification/licence and demonstrated experience operating excavators, preferably in a mining environment.
Work Hours: 8
Experience in Months: 12
Level of Education: high school
