Bhascore Mining Zambia Limited is seeking a Field Liasioning Officer.
Responsibilities or duties
Representing the company during field activities (exploration and mining) in order to familiarise the locals with the company and its field team.
Maintain and develop strong relationships with Chiefdoms (palaces and communities), government departments, regulatory bodies, local authorities etc.
Facilitate clear and timely communication between Bhascore mining group or any of its subsidiary/sister companies and external contacts and clients.
Assist in the submission and follow-up of all necessary licenses, permits, and approvals required for the company’s operations.
Represent the company during official inspections, meetings, and discussions with the Ministry of Mines, Mineral Regulation Commission, Geological Survey, Forestry Department, ZEMA, DNPW, ZRA and/or any other government bodies.
Follow up with the Ministry of Mines/Mineral Regulation commission for applications, payment of fees and other required related tasks.
Good report‑writing and administration skills (field reports, minutes, stakeholder registers)
Local language ability in the project area (e.g. Bemba, Nyanja, Tonga, Lozi) will be an added advantage.
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, email; sometimes basic data or GIS tools)
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently to field sites.
Prepare and maintain records of all communications, meetings and correspondences with authorities and clients.
Submit periodic reports to management summarizing interactions and developments.
Ensuring adherence to organisational procedures and regulations.
Overseeing daily administrative tasks to maintain efficiency.
Oversee administrative support as and when required.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelors in Administration/Social Sciences/Community Development from a reputed university in Zambia
Good report‑writing and administration skills (field reports, minutes, stakeholder registers)
Local language ability in the project area (e.g. Bemba, Nyanja, Tonga, Lozi) will be an added advantage.
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, email; sometimes basic data or GIS tools)
Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel frequently to field sites.
Experience needed
5-10 years of overall experience in handling liaison work, especially related to the exploration and mining sector.
Any other provided details (e.g., benefits, work environment, team info, or additional notes)
Remuneration will be based on the candidate’s experience and competency as per requirements in the JD.
All other company terms and conditions will be discussed during the interview of the selected shortlisted candidates.
