British American Tobacco Zambia has an exciting opportunity for a Finance Intern in Luska
Responsibilities or duties
Support key accounting and finance functions, including AP, AR, and corporate finance activities. Contribute to accurate reporting and provide ad hoc support for management, ensuring tasks are completed in line with finance procedures.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Monthly reconciliations and clearing of reconciling items on time and in line with Finance Procedures.
- Assist in daily clearing of bank account transactions.
- Assist in supplier open items review ahead of the Payment run, execute blocking/unblocking for documents and submit to GBS every Wednesday for payments run on Thursday.
- Assist in preparing accurate, meaningful reports on an ad hoc basis for management.
- Performing other relevant support activities as and when required.
What are we looking for?
- A bachelor’s degree in accounting or any of the professional accountancy qualification (CA, CIMA, ACCA).
- Own a ZAQA certification.
- ZICA member.
- Excellent communication and influencing style.
- Ability to work with deadlines and under pressure.
- Highly proactive and solution-oriented mindset.
