Background

Medland Hospital is inviting suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of Food Handler.

Overall Responsibility

The successful candidate will be responsible for safely handling, serving, and delivering patient meals while maintaining high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.

Key responsibilities include:

• Handle, serve, and deliver patient meals safely and on time.
• Ensure correct meals are delivered to the correct patients.
• Maintain high standards of kitchen hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils and food service areas.
• Follow all food safety, hygiene, and hospital procedures.

Qualifications and Experience

• Grade 12 certificate.
• Certificate in Food Production or Hospitality is an added advantage.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience.

Work Hours: 8

Experience in Months: 12

Level of Education: high school
