Overview

Our client in the Agricultural sector is seeking two skilled Forklift Operators to join their team. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for operating forklifts to move heavy materials and products in our warehouse efficiently and safely while adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transfer materials and products from trucks to the production line and the warehouse.
  • Conduct routine inspections of the forklift to ensure it is in good working condition.
  • Follow safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Precisely placing and retrieving loads from high racking, following designated storage plans (FIFO/FILO), and ensuring loads are stable and racks are not overloaded.
  • Assist in organizing and storing products in the warehouse accurately and efficiently.
  • Record and maintain accurate inventory logs.
  • Collaborate with team members to complete tasks effectively and drive operational efficiency.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to management promptly.
  • Participate in regular safety training and workshops.
  • Support inventory counts and audits as required.
  • Performing a daily checklist (inspecting brakes, tires, forks, hydraulics, horn, lights), documenting findings, and reporting defects immediately to a supervisor.

Requirements

  • Valid Forklift Operator Certification and license.
  • Full Grade 12 Certificate
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to forklift operations.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks and lift heavy objects as needed.
  • Good communication skills and teamwork ability.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and shifts as required.
