QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
i. Grade 12 School Certificate or its equivalent.
ii. BA Education Primary Degree from a recognized University or College of Education.
iii. Degree in the French language from a recognized University or College of Education.
iv. All professional and academic qualifications MUST be verified with Zambia Qualifications Authority.
v. At least 3 years of primary teaching experience at a private primary school.
vi. Must be a member of the Teaching Council of Zambia (a valid practicing certificate to be attached to the application letter).
vii. Must be Computer Literate. Using Smart Board or an equivalent system will be an added advantage.
viii. Experience in an ISAZ Community will be added advantage.
ix. Have an intrinsic knowledge of the Zambian Curriculum.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
i. To be fully conversant with the Nkhwazi Primary School schemes and plan a scheme of work in advance of each term giving details of aims, topics, approaches, activities and references.
ii. To produce a weekly forecast based on the scheme together with a record of work covered including comments on the progress of individual pupils.
iii. To teach as required by the Head, Deputy Head or Senior Teacher utilising approaches most appropriate to the needs of the pupils and subjects taught and ensuring an intrinsic interest in learning through a high rate of motivation.
iv. To keep full professional, academic and social records which reflect a detailed and ongoing diagnostic/assessment programme and ensure that appropriate follow-up work is initiated.
v. To develop further personal professional expertise through research, attending workshops, liaising with colleagues and to impart this knowledge to less experienced colleagues when the opportunity arises.
vi. To organise and develop extra-curricular activities and participate in functions organized by the School and the PTA.
vii. To liaise with parents and advise them on matters of educational concern and provide written reports on academic progress as required by the Head of School.
viii. To maintain discipline amongst the pupils and self.
