Staff and operations management
- Supervise staff: Manage, train, and recruit garden center personnel.
- Organize operations: Oversee daily operations and ensure all tasks are completed efficiently.
- Manage inventory: Keep track of stock, place orders for new products, and ensure a smooth flow of goods.
- Handle finances: Manage the budget, authorize expenditures, and monitor revenues to meet sales targets.
- Ensure compliance: Make sure health and safety regulations are followed throughout the center.
Plant and facility maintenance
- Plant care: Manage the watering, pruning, and fertilizing of plants and treat any pests or diseases.
- Facility upkeep: Oversee the maintenance of buildings, greenhouses, and grounds, including the sprinkler system.
- Display and layout: Develop and implement strategies for product displays and the center's overall layout.
Customer and sales management
- Customer service: Ensure high standards of customer service and handle complaints or inquiries.
- Sales and marketing: Develop and implement sales strategies, plan promotional events, and monitor market trends.
- Source products: Work with suppliers to source quality products and negotiate terms.
