JOB DETAILS:
Position Summary:
We are hiring ten (10) General Workers to perform a variety of manual tasks to support daily mining and construction site operations. Candidates must be reliable, physically fit, and willing to work in a challenging outdoor environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general labor duties as assigned by supervisors (e.g., digging, lifting, carrying, cleaning).
- Assist tradespeople (electricians, fitters) as a helper.
- Maintain site cleanliness and tidiness, including waste collection and disposal.
- Handle and move materials, tools, and equipment around the site.
- Follow all mining site safety rules and procedures diligently.
- Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum of Grade 12 Certificate.
- Previous experience as a general worker in mining, construction, or heavy industry is a strong advantage.
- No specific trade qualification required, but a willingness to learn is essential.
General Requirements:
- Must be physically fit and able to perform demanding manual labor.
- Willing to work under challenging mining site conditions.
- Good attitude, punctual, and a team player.
- Strong safety awareness.
- Must be based in Solwezi or willing to relocate immediately.
