Primary Function
Fine-grade surfaces for roads, foundations, and drainage systems to precise specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Precision Grading: Operate motor graders to cut, spread, and level dirt, gravel, or asphalt to within 1/4-inch of design grade using laser or GPS guidance systems.
- Drainage Management: Shape slopes, ditches, and shoulders to ensure proper water runoff and prevent erosion.
- Material Spreading: Distribute base materials (crushed rock, sand) evenly across subgrades prior to paving or concrete pours.
- Blade Maintenance: Adjust, replace, or sharpen grader cutting edges/blades daily to maintain cut accuracy.
- Site Communication: Work in tandem with surveyors and foremen, interpreting grade stakes and blueprint cut/fill notations.
- Safety: Continuously monitor blind spots and swing radii, especially when working near underground utilities or scaffolding.
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Basic literacy skills (ability to read and write).
- Proven knowledge and hands-on experience operating any of the specified machinery.
- Multi-skilled operators with experience on multiple equipment types will be given preference.
- At least two years of practical experience in agricultural-related heavy equipment operations.
- Traceable professional references to verify work history and competence.
Equipment Models You May Operate
Successful candidates will be expected to operate the following machinery models:
Grader: Shantui SG-21
