Role Overview:
The Grader Operator uses grading equipment to maintain and level underground roadways, ensuring safe and efficient access for mining vehicles and personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate grader equipment to level and maintain underground haul roads and pathways.
- Ensure smooth and stable surfaces to support the safe movement of heavy machinery.
- Conduct pre- and post-operation checks on grader equipment to ensure functionality.
- Adhere to safety protocols in underground environments, avoiding hazards like rockfalls.
- Report any road surface issues or equipment malfunctions to supervisors.
- Collaborate with other operators to maintain underground infrastructure.
Competencies:
- Proficiency in operating grader equipment in underground mines.
- Knowledge of underground road maintenance and safety standards.
- Physical fitness and ability to work in challenging conditions.
- Attention to detail in maintaining level surfaces.
