JOB DETAILS:

Position Overview:
Our client in the information and communication Technology (ICT) sector is seeking to recruit a dynamic and experienced Group Financial Accountant who will lead the financial accounting function across multiple entities within the group. The role involves overseeing financial reporting, ensuring compliance ,such as tax and manage all financial accounting activities for business operations and providing strategic financial insights for the group’s overall financial health.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting Leadership:

– Lead the preparation and analysis of consolidated financial statements for the entire group.

– Ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance with accounting standards.

Group Budgeting and Forecasting:

– Collaborate with finance teams across various entities to develop group-wide budgets.

– Provide consolidated financial forecasts and analyses to guide strategic decisions.

Financial Consolidation:

– Manage the consolidation process for financial data from diverse business units within the group.

– Streamline reporting structures for efficient consolidation.

Intercompany Transactions:

– Oversee and reconcile intercompany transactions to ensure accurate financial reporting.

– Implement processes to address any discrepancies and enhance transparency.

Compliance Oversight:

– Stay abreast of industry regulations and ensure group-wide financial activities align with legal requirements.

– Coordinate audits and internal reviews, addressing compliance issues promptly.

Financial Analysis for Strategic Decision-making

– Conduct in-depth financial analysis to provide insights into group-wide financial trends, risks, and opportunities.

– Collaborate with leadership to support strategic planning initiatives.

Collaboration with Subsidiary Finance Teams:

– Work closely with finance teams in subsidiaries to understand their financial needs and align reporting practices.

– Foster a collaborative environment for sharing best practices.

Software Utilization and Integration:

– Utilize advanced accounting software for efficient group-wide financial management.

– Explore emerging technologies and tools that enhance financial consolidation and reporting.

Candidate Profile

• 1.    Degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field plus Certifications in Accounting e.g. CPA, ACCA
• 2.    At least 3 years’ experience in a similar environment with extensive experience in financial accounting, with a focus on group-level consolidation within the ICT sector.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:

• 1.       Good communication skills
• 2.       Good customer relationship and care skills.
• 3.       Proficiency in accounting software such as Pastel.
• 4.       Strong mathematical and analytical aptitude.
• 5.       Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
• 6.       Clean Class Four license.
