JOB DETAILS:

• Qualifications: B Tech or Diploma in Heavy Equipment Repair (HER) or a related field.
• Experience Required: 5+ years of underground mining experience.

Role Overview:
The HER Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy equipment used in underground mining, ensuring operational reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, such as LHDs, LPDTs, and trucks.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults, ensuring quick resolution to minimize downtime.
• Conduct preventive maintenance checks to ensure equipment longevity and safety.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and report on equipment performance.
• Collaborate with operators to identify recurring issues and implement solutions.
• Adhere to safety standards and protocols during all maintenance activities.

Competencies:

• Technical expertise in heavy equipment repair and maintenance.
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Familiarity with underground mining equipment.
• Attention to detail and safety awareness.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
