Job Description: Human Resources Officer

Position: HR Officer (MALE)

Projects/ Company: Huangshan Constructions Company

Location: Lusaka Ibex Hill Oasis Miracle, Crown and Serenity

Reports to: Line Manager / Senior Management

Role Overview

The HR Officer will be responsible for managing all human resources functions across three projects—Crown, Miracle, and Serenity. This role ensures compliance with statutory requirements, oversees employee relations, and supports smooth HR operations including Recruitment, Contract Management, policy formulation, performance management, payroll, attendance Management, advice management accordingly, onboarding, and legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

Attendance & Leave Management

Monitor employee attendance, late coming, and absenteeism.

Track and maintain accurate records of all leave applications and approvals.

Onboarding & Registrations

1. Facilitate employee onboarding processes.

2. Register employees with statutory bodies including NAPSA, NHIMA, and TPIN.

Payroll Administration

1. Prepare and process monthly payroll for all employees under the three projects.

Ensure timely submission of statutory taxes and contributions.

3. Generate and issue pay slips to employees promptly.

Compliance & Statutory Obligations

Ensure adherence to labor laws and statutory requirements.

Submit all statutory returns (taxes, social security, health insurance) on time.

Employee Relations & Legal Matters

Handle employee grievances and disciplinary issues.

Represent the organization in court cases or labor disputes when required.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, Business Administration, or related field.

2. Minimum 5 years’ experience in HR operations as HR Officer, preferably Construction Industry and real estate.

3. Strong knowledge of Zambian labor laws.

4. Proficiency in payroll systems and HR software.

5. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

6. Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.

7. If they have certificates in Occupation Health and safety, and first aid administration is an added advantage.

2. Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.

3. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

4. Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

5. Able to do roll call every morning and to stay on-site.
