Zambia Petrochemical Energy Co., Ltd. is a refinery manufacture located in the Ndola Petrochemical Industrial Park. The project includes refining units, such as atmospheric and vacuum distillation, heavy oil catalytic cracking, gasoline hydro processing, diesel hydro processing, aromatization, hydrogen production, and sulfur recovery, as well as cogeneration facilities, supporting storage and transportation, analytical laboratories, and utility systems for power supply, water supply, wastewater treatment, and fire protection,etc.
Responsibilities or duties
Responsible for recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies for assigned business units.
Partner with manufacture leaders to align HR strategy with organizational objectives.
Provide guidance and support on performance management, talent development, succession planning, and career progression.
Advise managers on employee relations matters, ensuring compliance with labor laws and company policies.
Arrange training & Development for new hires and ongoing development for current staff, identifying needs for growth.
Analyze HR metrics and provide insights to improve business performance.
Implement HR programs and policies effectively across the business units.
Coach and mentor line managers to enhance leadership capability and team performance.
Support C&B, workforce planning, compensation reviews, and reward strategies.
Provide any support to the manufacture operation needed.
Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Must be a Member of Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM);
6 + years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisor role, manufacture working experience is a plus.
Strong understanding of Zambian labour laws and HR best practices.
Strong recruiting and demonstrated ability to improve talent acquisition strategies
Experience in performance management, talent management, and organizational development.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, influencing and problem-solving skills.
Experience needed
6 + years of HR experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisor role, manufacture working experience is a plus.
