Job Summary:
• The Head of the Nursing School at [Your Nursing School Name] is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the nursing program, faculty, and students. Key Responsibilities:
Academic Leadership:
• Provide visionary leadership to the nursing school, setting strategic goals and objectives.
• Develop and review nursing curricula, ensuring alignment with accreditation standards and industry best practices.
• Foster a culture of academic excellence and innovation among faculty and students.
Faculty Management and Development:
• Recruit, select, and onboard qualified nursing faculty.
• Provide mentoring, coaching, and professional development opportunities to faculty.
• Evaluate faculty performance and provide feedback.
• Manage faculty workload, assignments, and scheduling.
Student Engagement and Support:
• Promote a student-centred approach to education, ensuring students’ academic and personal development.
• Oversee student admissions, advising, and progression in the nursing program.
• Address student concerns and disciplinary matters as needed.
Program Accreditation and Compliance:
• Ensure the nursing program maintains accreditation and complies with all relevant regulations and standards.
• Collaborate with accreditation bodies and regulatory agencies.
• Prepare and submit reports for accreditation purposes.
Budget Management:
• Develop and manage the nursing school budget, allocating resources effectively.
• Monitor and control expenses while maximizing the quality of education.
• Identify opportunities for fundraising and grant applications.
Community and Industry Engagement:
• Build and maintain relationships with healthcare facilities, clinical partners, and industry stakeholders.
• Collaborate with external partners for clinical placements and experiential learning opportunities.
• Represent the nursing school at conferences, meetings, and events.

Continuous Improvement:
• Implement processes for ongoing assessment and improvement of the nursing program.
• Stay current with developments in nursing education, healthcare, and technology.
• Encourage research and scholarly activities among faculty and students.

Qualifications:
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in nursing or a related field (Doctorate preferred).
• Active and unrestricted nursing license.
• Significant teaching and administrative experience in nursing education.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and regulatory requirements.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in education.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software.
