Key Responsibilities for the HR Officer Position

  • Support performance appraisal systems and staff development initiatives.
  • Ensure strict compliance with Zambian labour laws and company policies.
  • Handle employee relations issues with discretion and professionalism.
  • Prepare comprehensive HR reports and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Organize training sessions and wellness programs for staff wellbeing.
  • Assist with disciplinary actions and grievance procedures as required.
  • Perform additional HR and administrative duties assigned by management.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Grade 12 School Certificate.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related discipline from a recognized institution.
  • Mandatory membership with the Zambia Institute of Human Resource Management (ZIHRM).
  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of proven experience in Human Resources or Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of the Zambian Employment Code Act and labour regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Experience with HR software systems is an advantage.
