Gramus is seeking an experienced and dependable Human Resources Manager to oversee its human-resource operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for recruitment, employee relations, performance management, staff development, policy implementation and compliance with Zambian labour laws.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures.
  • Manage recruitment, selection, onboarding and employee-exit processes.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
  • Coordinate performance appraisals and employee-development programmes.
  • Handle disciplinary matters, grievances and workplace disputes professionally.
  • Monitor employee attendance, leave and general workplace conduct.
  • Support payroll administration by providing accurate employee information.
  • Ensure compliance with Zambian employment laws and company policies.
  • Advise management on staffing requirements and other HR matters.
  • Promote a positive, productive and professional workplace culture.
  • Prepare regular HR reports for senior management.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or a related discipline.
  • At least five years of relevant HR experience
  • Sound knowledge of Zambian labour laws and employment regulations.
  • Experience in recruitment, performance management and employee relations.
  • Strong leadership and people-management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong conflict-resolution and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR information systems.
  • Membership in a relevant professional HR body will be an added advantage.
