About the Role: Human Resources Coordinator Jobs in Lusaka
As the Human Resources and Organisational Development Coordinator, you will play a critical role in shaping the HR landscape of ZVEC Group. Your responsibilities will include conducting immediate internal HR compliance and workforce audits, developing and standardising employment documentation, and leading the full recruitment lifecycle. You will also implement a robust performance management system, develop essential HR policies, and ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
Qualifications and Experience
Candidates applying for this role must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial or Organisational Psychology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or a related field.
- A relevant postgraduate qualification is advantageous.
- Minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, including recruitment, employee records management, performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
- Proven experience in establishing or strengthening HR systems within growing organisations, educational institutions, social enterprises, or multi-entity businesses.
- Strong knowledge of Zambian employment laws, labour relations, and statutory obligations.
- Current professional membership with a recognised HR professional body in Zambia, including any applicable practising credentials.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, HR databases, reporting tools, and secure electronic records management.

- Conduct internal HR compliance and workforce audits promptly.
- Develop and update employment contracts, appointment letters, job descriptions, and staff records aligned with approved structures.
- Lead recruitment processes: vacancy planning, advertising, shortlisting, interview coordination, reference and qualification checks, onboarding, and probation management.
- Implement a performance management system with clear objectives, measurable indicators, regular appraisals, and follow-up mechanisms.
- Develop and enforce key HR policies covering recruitment, induction, leave, attendance, code of conduct, grievance, discipline, safeguarding, equal opportunity, and records management.
- Monitor HR legal compliance and coordinate accurate employee data for payroll and statutory bodies, collaborating closely with Finance and management.
- Prepare annual staffing and staff development plans, identify skills gaps, and coordinate training, mentoring, succession planning, and capacity building.
- Support organisational restructuring and change management with transparent communication and fair processes.
- Advise senior management on employee relations, workforce planning, discipline, grievances, and conflict resolution.
- Establish HR dashboards and submit monthly reports on staffing metrics, performance, compliance risks, and required actions.
- Promote a professional, inclusive, and service-oriented workplace culture across the organisation.
