Levant is hiring a junior accountant, who will be reporting to the Managing director .
The job responsibilities and duties include:
Preparing and processing invoices using accounting software
Maintain accurate financial records including journals, ledgers, and reconciliations
Assist with bank reconciliations and petty cash management
Support accounts payable and receivable tracking and reporting
Post journal entries and ensure proper documentation for all transactions
Generate financial reports for internal use and audits
Ensure compliance with ZRA statutory returns (PAYE, VAT, NHIMA, NAPSA)
Requirements – Degree in Accounting, Banking & finance or equivalent
- Proven work experience in a similar role (at least 2 years)
- Solid knowledge on any accounting system
- Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, MS outlook specifically) and ERP system.
- Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail
