JOB DETAILS:

• Qualifications: No specific academic qualifications; valid LHD operator license required.
• Experience Required: 8–10 years of underground LHD operator experience.

Role Overview:
The LHD (Load-Haul-Dump) Operator operates LHD machines to load, haul, and dump ore and waste materials in underground mining operations, ensuring efficient material movement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate LHD machines to load ore and waste from mining faces and haul to designated dump points.
• Ensure safe operation in underground tunnels, avoiding hazards like rockfalls and narrow passages.
• Conduct pre- and post-operation checks on LHD equipment to ensure functionality.
• Report any equipment issues or safety concerns to supervisors.
• Collaborate with other operators to maintain production flow.
• Adhere to safety and operational standards specific to underground mining.

Competencies:

• Extensive experience in operating LHD machines in underground mines.
• Knowledge of underground mining safety and operational protocols.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in confined spaces.
• Attention to detail in equipment operation and safety checks.
• Teamwork and coordination skills.
