Job Description

The LPG Refilling Operator will be responsible for refilling LPG cylinders, ensuring safe handling and correct measurement of gas, maintaining equipment, and following safety protocols. The role requires high ethical standards, accuracy with numbers, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely refill LPG cylinders following company and national safety guidelines
• Inspect cylinders before refilling to ensure compliance with safety standards
• Operate LPG refilling equipment and monitor pressure gauges
• Record daily refilling transactions accurately
• Maintain cleanliness and proper organisation of the refilling station
• Handle cash or electronic payments (where applicable) with accuracy
• Ensure all refilled cylinders are properly sealed and labelled
• Report any leaks, equipment faults, or safety risks immediately
• Assist in stock control and daily inventory updates
• Provide professional customer service to walk-in clients

Requirements

• Grade 12 Certificate (mandatory)
• Previous experience as an LPG Refilling Operator/Attendant is an added advantage
• Strong attention to detail, especially with numbers and measurements
• Honest, sober-minded, and self-motivated
• Ability to work with little to no supervision
• High levels of discipline, safety awareness, and punctuality
• Good communication skills and courteous customer service
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures precisely
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks
