Job Summary:

Carbon is seeking a motivated Lab Assistant to support soil testing operations and laboratory data recording activities in Livingstone, Zambia.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation of laboratory materials, reagents, and equipment for experiments and tests
• Conduct routine soil testing and laboratory experiments
• Record and analyze experimental data accurately and maintain detailed records.
• Perform basic laboratory techniques, including weighing, mixing, and sample preparation
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized laboratory environment
• Support the development and optimization of experimental procedures
• Assist with other tasks or projects as assigned by laboratory management.

Eligibility Criteria:

• Graduate Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Lab Technology, Agricultural Sciences, Soil Science, Microbiology, or a related field
• At least 1 year of experience in soil testing work. (fresh graduates with practical soil testing exposure are encouraged to apply)
• Based in or willing to relocate to Livingstone, Zambia

Essential Requirements:

• Android Smartphone and Basic computer skills, including MS Office tools
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with laboratory soil testing protocols and standard procedures.
