JOB DETAILS:
The Local Geologist will conduct field surveys, collect and analyse samples and help assess the geological conditions at mining or exploration sites to support resource extraction and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
• Field Surveys: Conduct geological surveys to map the area and identify rock formations and mineral deposits.
• Sample Collection and Testing: Collect soil, rock, and water samples for analysis. Identify mineral content in samples.
• Data Analysis: Analyse geological data and create reports for the team.
• Team Support: Work with other teams to ensure smooth operations and assist in decision-making.
• Safety Monitoring: Monitor the environment for any geological risks and report hazards.

Skills and Qualifications:
• Degree in Geology or related field.
• Experience in geological fieldwork or mining is preferred.
• Knowledge of geological surveys, sampling and data analysis.
