In its quest to improve service delivery, Southern Water and Sewerage Company Limited (SWSC), provider of potable water and sanitation services in the southern province of Zambia, seeks to fill the following vacant position. LOCAL PROJECT COORDINATOR VVWX PROJECT (1) HEAD OFFICE
JOB PURPOSE
To ensure effective and efficient implementation of the WaterWorX project in Southern WSC. The WaterWorX project focuses on organizational improvements of Southern WSC and service expansion. The project is funded by a development aid grant from the kingdom of the Netherlands.. .

  Job Responsibilities:
• Coordination of the pro-poor investments (design, procurement, technical supervision of the project) in Kalomo, Zimba and Choma as project manager;
• Coordination of the Peer to peer program with Western WSC;
• Coordination of the monitoring and evaluation of the project in Southern WSC (including Drop box administration), together with the 2 young experts;
• Coordination of the necessary procurements under the project and assist in the financial administration of the project expenses incurred by SWSC;
• Assist in the implementation of the Asset Management theme of the WaterWorX project (assisting the theme leader);
• Assist in the implementation of the finance theme of the WaterWorX project (assisting the theme leader);
• Assist the WWX project manager in the overall project management, with particular focus on logistical implications of project activi ties;
• Carry out any other duty as may be assigned from time to time by superior

Job Qualifications:
• Full Grade 12 Certificate
• Degree in any engineering disciple (Civil, Mechanical, Water)
• Member of EIZ
• Between 3 and 8 years of relevant industrial experience
• Should have a valid driver’s license
• Should be between 25-35 years of age.
• Additional knowledge, qualification or interest in organizational development and financial management is highly advantageous
