Background

Africa’s Gate Zambia is a fast-growing manufacturing and services company specializing in water production and food processing (tomato sauce and chilli sauce).

We are looking for a skilled, disciplined, and hardworking Machine Operator to join our production team and ensure efficient operation of our sachet and bottling production machines.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring, adjusting, cleaning, and maintaining liquid packaging machines safely and efficiently to achieve production, quality, and hygiene standards while minimizing downtime and material losses.

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Certificate/Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Production, or Food Processing
• 1–2 years experience operating sachet filling or packaging machines
• Experience in FMCG or food/water production environment preferred
• Basic understanding of machine maintenance and troubleshooting

• Operate sachet water and liquid packaging machines efficiently and safely

• Perform routine machine inspections and basic troubleshooting
• Report machine faults and breakdowns to the supervisor
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene around production equipment
• Minimize material wastage and production downtime
• Record production data, machine downtime, and quality checks
• Follow all GMP, hygiene, and safety procedures
• Assist during machine servicing and maintenance activities
